1,000 Taverneers!
We’ve made it to 1,000 Taverneers, or you may know them as Kickstarter Backers! The day we started bouncing around the idea of doing a Kickstarter for Epic Tavern, we wondered if we could attract even 100 people to back our project….now we’ve reached over 1,000! This milestone feels just as wonderful as when we hit our funding goal. Thank you to every single one of our 1,000+ backers - you are helping us complete Epic Tavern and make it even greater with our Stretch Goals!

More Adventures Await...
Epic Tavern has been funded, but there is still a ton of hard work to be done! Before we get into the thick of it, we want to say another big CHEERS to our backers and supporters. Everyday that passes on our Kickstarter and Greenlight journey, we are consistently humbled by how excited everyone is for Epic Tavern!
So again, now that we are funded, we have lots of exciting things in the works for the remainder of our Kickstarter campaign, and we are still climbing the Steam Greenlight ladder. Please head over and upvote Epic Tavern, and share with your fellow Steam friends!

Stretch Goals
One of the most exciting things about having a funded campaign is that we now get to work in some Stretch Goals. We revealed the first two a couple days back, and we're less than $7,000 away from meeting our first! Here is a refresher in case you missed ‘em: Rebecca Heineman (Bard’s Tale III, Dragon Wars) will design a questline for us at $50k and Ian Livingstone (Games Workshop, Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks) will design a questline for us at $60k!
If we start getting closer to $60k, we’ll reveal the next set of goals. Hint: both have been repeatedly asked for by backers…
Social Quests + Achievements
You’ve achieved 50 points and unlocked Epic Tavern T-Shirts as an Add-On. Once the campaign is over and we send out your Backer Surveys, you’ll have the option to add an Epic Tavern T-Shirt for $25! Now, do ya guys think ya can get to 60 points before Monday’s update, and unlock Tankard Add-Ons?

There is lots to discuss, but before we get into some fun updates, let us say another huge THANK YOU to our backers and loyal supporters! In just over 7 days, we are less than $5,000 away from our funding goal, we’ve reached 750 backers, and we’re #26 on Greenlight. If we could have included personal hugs in our reward tiers, we would have. Please accept strong and awkwardly long virtual hugs from our entire team.
As we try to calm ourselves, here is a quick overview on what we’ll be chatting about in this update: Epic Tavern T-Shirt + Tankard Mockup reveals, a Testimonial shout out from Ian Livingstone(!), updates to Social Media Quests + Achievements, the addition of Stretch Goals to our page, and a shoutout to our friends at Digital Sun Games who are also running a Kickstarter for their awesome game, Moonlighters!

Our 2D Artist, Kate, has finished the mockups for our Epic Tavern T-shirt and Tankards, and we hope you love them as much as we do! T-shirts begin at the $100 STYLISH MIXOLOGIST tier and Tankards begin at the $150 BREWMASTER tier, and all tiers above these will also receive the epic physical rewards.

Stretch Goals
Huzzah! Thanks to our incredible backers, our funding amount is steadily growing. Since we’re nearing $40,000, and since our community has unlocked 40 points in our Social Media Quests, we can post our first two Stretch Goals!
For our first Stretch Goals, Rebecca Heineman and Ian Livingstone will design Questlines for Epic Tavern! Rebecca is the creator of Bard’s Tale III and Dragon Wars, and was also featured in a previous update when she kindly sent us a gallant testimonial! And as we mentioned above, Ian Livingstone is co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy gamebook series and co-founder of Games Workshop. We can’t wait to see what kind of peril the creator of Deathtrap Dungeon, The Forest of Doom and City of Thieves has in store for our brave adventurers!

Wow! Ever since we hit those shiny launch buttons on Kickstarter + Greenlight this past Wednesday, there has been a consistent charge of energy in the studio. We are more than just thankful of everyone’s support -- we feel honored and humbled!
For our second update, we have a few things to reveal: a link for PayPal backers, some exciting press-related callouts, and the latest and greatest on our overall progress on Kickstarter and Greenlight! We’ll still be making the rounds over the long weekend to answer messages and comments so please keep ‘em coming.

For those who would like to support Epic Tavern and receive rewards, but may not have a credit card, we’ve set up a PayPal page on our website! Paypal funds do not officially count towards our Kickstarter goal.
